Our team requires at least 24 hours notice before the date of the building inspection to create the booking request.
All bookings must be made before 3 pm the day prior.
In most cases, the builder nominated on the building permit will manage the building inspection bookings. Depending on which inspection booking is required, the request may come from a subcontractor e.g. concreter.
If you are an Owner Builder, it will be your responsibility to book your building inspections. If you are unsure what inspection to book, the Victorian Building Authority provides helpful information on Mandatory Inspection Stages. Our inspection bookings team will review your building inspection request and schedule the building inspection. If we cannot make the inspection booking on the requested time and/or day, our team will be in contact to offer the next available alternative for a building inspection.
A text message confirmation with your allocated Building Inspectors name and mobile number will be sent to the site contact the afternoon before the scheduled building inspection.
If your construction project is delayed and you need to cancel or reschedule your building inspection, please contact our office immediately. For same-day building inspection cancellation, your building inspection fee may still be charged, depending on the circumstances
New Inspections must be booked directly via Zonne’s office and can be done so by visiting our website at zonne.com.au, or email inspections@zonne.com.au, or by phone on 03 9769 8655. Inspections carried out by structural engineers must be notified to our office prior to the inspection and a Certificate of Compliance Reg 126 must be provided by the engineer for each inspection without delay. 24 hours’ notice is required to book an inspection. Same day inspections will incur an additional fee and cannot be guaranteed. Should you require a same day inspection, please book by contacting our office on 03 97698655. Bookings are made on an AM/PM basis only. Specific times cannot be guaranteed. Booking requests submitted after 3pm are not guaranteed to be carried our on the following business day. For cancellations or rescheduling please contact our office direct on 03 9769 8655. Cancellation/rescheduling fees may apply. Do not proceed with booking this inspection if any previous inspections are still outstanding and/or not yet passed or approved. For frame inspections, ensure truss documentation has been submitted at least 2 business days prior to inspection. Zonne will confirm your inspection booking within one business day.
